bossa nova: astrud gilberto

another type of music that was introduced by my goob..

i have always wanted to listen to all types of music.. especially jazz and bossa and well.. guess i'm just blessed to have found my kismet who not only share the same kinda love and life but this gift of music he has given me is just so amazing..

started listening to astrud in around 1995 i think..

well, my dearest goob gave me a verve jazz masters boxset as a gift.. it included cds from stan getz, antonio carlos jobim and astrud gilberto.

my ultimate personal favourite from astrud is Once Upon a Summertime.. it is just such a sad song.. pretty slow but it just got stuck in me.. call me a mush but well.. who cares! *lol*

astrud's baby girl - bebel gilberto is pretty good herself. she made the song So Nice popular to all loungers..
